Anche su Glossom: "Collection Description - The Lakme Fashion Week, the pioneer of Trends in India, is branding Indian Fashion Seasons by giving consumers and Fashionistas a sense of empowerment and a better sense of the value of the Indian market. A growing desire to comprehend Traditions and Trends is simplified by the Lakme Fashion Week, to shift the mind-set of the fashion professionals into a new experiential normal. India’s foray into fashion starts from its heritage and traditions, we follow rituals and festivals which are colourful and lively. An innovative and unisex palette offers candy pink, eggplant and dark purple. These colours dare to define a masculine style tinted by more feminine notes that flatter all wardrobes. The confident citrus cocktail orange, mandarin, pineapple and lemon are winners. The shades that follow are classic and exotic, they are a delicacy to savour featuring deep harmonies enhanced with ochre yellow and dynamic orange. Browns come in a variety of hues spanning from beige to ebony including a greyish brown for timid and discrete coordinates with reserved, classic allure. Yellow is a colour of energy and optimism and signifies sharing. It exudes a sense of the positive. Hence Colour and Spirituality are synonymous to India. Pink is not the first colour of choice, but the family of reds continues to influence fashion thinking. The red range, a sure bet for bold silhouettes high in colour and perfectly illustrating masculine and feminine pieces, offers salmon tinted, rust and carmine tones. India showcased richness in fabric selections coupled with embellishments and extensively embroidered ensembles. References could be made from Bollywood culture to the ancient Mughul fusing with the western silhouettes and influences."
